FAQ
Percent vs. percentage points?
Percentage points are the difference between two rates. A rate going from 3% to 4% rose 1 point, which is about a 33% increase.
If something rises 20% then falls 20%, is it back where it started?
No. 100 up 20% is 120, and 120 down 20% is 96, because the base changed.
Can I find the original price from a sale price?
Use the Original price card. A $21 item after 30% off was originally $30.
How many decimals are shown?
Up to two for percentages and prices, up to four for other values, with trailing zeros removed.
