FAQ
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Photos are compressed inside your browser and never sent anywhere. It even works offline.
How much smaller will they get?
Phone photos usually drop to half or less on "Balanced". Resizing to 1920px saves even more. Already-compressed photos may shrink less, and if nothing is gained the original is kept.
My PNGs barely shrink.
PNG is lossless, so saving as PNG again saves little. Switch the format to WebP or JPG for much smaller files. Pick WebP if you need transparency.
Does it work with iPhone HEIC photos?
Some browsers can't open HEIC. Set Camera > Formats to Most Compatible on your iPhone, or convert to JPG when sharing.
Is location data removed?
Yes. Re-saved photos carry no location or camera details. Photos marked as kept are the originals, so their details stay.
